Here is a prayer of contentment in everything that we do. Human nature forces us to want more that we need, and this often times means taking decisions that have negative consequences.
Use this prayer to ask for Lady Fortuna’s help.
I come before you today to seek your help against something that has the power to disrupt my life completely if not curtailed now. I come before you to seek the spirit of contentment in my life. The spirit of greed and envy is gradually becoming too powerful for me to handle. I struggle with contentment despite the abundance that you have blessed me and my family with. I pray that you destroy the spirit of greed and covetousness that has prevented me from being contented and appreciating the value in all that I have.
Grant me the grace to fully appreciate all that you have blessed me with. Grant me divine restraints not to engage in activities or businesses that would put myself and my family in financial distress. I know that as humans it is innate to always want more because even the world is never enough. However, the need to want more can send us into a rabbit hole that leads to a series of catastrophic habits and behaviors such as gambling and fraud. I pray that you give me the strength to resist the temptations of engaging in these illicit habits.
